Formerly senior staff writer at Geographical, the magazine of the Royal Geographical Society, I have reported from around the world, covering stories about travel, wildlife, climate change, culture, urbanism, sustainable development, and geopolitics.

Born in London, now based in Lisbon, I have also lived in the Solomon Islands, South Korea, Taiwan, New Zealand, and Brazil.
